In the previous years, Turkey had issued many commercial agreements with several Latin American countries. If signed, the commercial agreement with the Eurasian country will not only allow Peruvian products to enter their market, but also the investment and services flow between both countries will become easier. Peru former President, Ollanta Humala, believes Turkey and Peru will definitely finish the negotiations process and sign a free trade agreement benefitting both nations. Turkey FTA negotiations are very advanced with Colombia, Ecuador, and Mexico. Their Free Trade Agreement with Chile has been valid since 2011. Soap opera market is of mutual interest for both Turkey and Latin America, as Turkish Exporters Assembly states, Turkey is the second biggest television series exporter after the United States. Peru’s major benefit will be for agriculture market, currently paying a 60 % fee to enter the market.
