Peru was named the leading culinary destination in the 15th annual ceremony of the Voyage Awards, an event held in the city of Beijing that brought together more than 500 Chinese professionals from the high-end travel industry to present awards to the most outstanding destinations and brands of 2019.
Ever since its launch in 2004, Voyage magazine has been reporting on tourist routes, airlines, hotels and interesting lifestyles for high-spending consumers in the Asian country. With the intention of recognizing its best exponents, the prestigious media outlet annually organizes the Voyage Awards.
The evaluation criteria for travel destinations include current performance, development potential, innovation and attention to the Chinese market. The magazine's journalists thus visited 200 destinations in China and the world during the year before voting.
Peru has a great deal to offer the Asian giant's tourists. Besides offering special travel experiences, from cruises in the Amazon to routes that allow you to discover the great historical legacy of Cusco, our country has a culinary offer that represents a great travel motivation.
It also has the privilege of being recognized in the demanding high-end Chinese market thanks to the hard work done by the institution to position the country as a culinary destination in Asia.
