In the world's eyes! Peruvian coffee stole the spotlight, elevating Peru's reputation to new heights at the prestigious global coffee event: the 2024 Specialty Coffee Expo held in Chicago, United States, spanning April 12th to 14th.
Twenty Peruvian exhibitors from coffee-growing regions like Amazonas, Cajamarca, Cusco, Junin, and San Martin showcased their finest brews to various international buyers at this significant gathering.

WORLD CUP TASTERS CHAMPIONSHIP
As part of this event, they also hosted the World Coffee Tasters Championship. Erick Jara, hailing from the province of Jaen in the Cajamarca region, proudly represented Peru. He clinched the top spot in the VI National Cupping Championship of Peru back in 2023. Jara showcased his skills representing the School of Excellence of Origin Coffees (Escuela de Excelencia de Cafés de Origen), affiliated with Quea Coffee Company.

Peruvian coffee is renowned for its top-notch quality. Presently, this delightful bean hails from 14 different regions across Peru, with leading producers including San Martin, Junin, Cajamarca, and Amazonas, closely followed by Huanuco, Pasco, Cusco, Ayacucho, Piura, and Puno. Over 223,000 families are engaged in its cultivation across the country.
