The first edition of the Invest Peru forum, organized by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ), will create a space for dialog, for exchanging ideas and for negotiation with the general aim of highlighting investment opportunities in Peru, mainly in the tourism sector.

The forum will be completely free and will address issues related to the many opportunities that Peru offers for the hotel business, transportation (airlines and cruises), tourist services operation and travel tech. All this, as well as the opportunity to network with other attendees.

Peru as an opportunity

Invest Peru is organized by PROMPERÚ’s Business Investment Promotion Agency and is supported by Invertur, a company that specializes in attracting private investment in tourism by presenting opportunities to investors.

In recent years, Invertur has organized multiple forums on the subject, enabling it to become highly recognized among business people in the sector in Latin America.

The participants of the Invest Peru forum will get to learn first-hand the many opportunities that the land of the Incas yields for their capital. As we already announced, on October 13, Peru was granted the Safe Travels stamp by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).

Furthermore, Peru was ranked as one of the 15 best countries in the world in the 2020 Reader's Choice Awards, organized by the famous Condé Nast Traveler magazine.

"Tourism is one of the pillars of the Peruvian economy and it is our responsibility not only to attract more tourists, but also to ensure that tourist services are of the highest quality. We will achieve this by attracting both national and foreign funds that will be added to the current tourism offer," said Luis Torres Paz, executive president of PROMPERÚ.

The official added that this forum, along with other similar initiatives in the sector, will promote healthy competition between tourism companies, which will energize the surrounding economy of new tourism projects for the benefit of all travelers.

PROMPERÚ promotes investment in Peru as an opportunity for development in the fields of food industry, tourism, textiles, high technology, manufacturing, and fishing. These promotional initiatives can be found in the National Strategic Export Plan (PENX) and in the National Strategic Plan for Tourism in Peru (PENTUR).
