Peruvian specialty coffees have created business opportunities worth over $30 million.
Amazing! Twenty Peruvian companies from coffee-growing regions such as Amazonas, Cajamarca, Cusco, Junin, and San Martin proudly presented their specialty coffees to international buyers at the 2024 Specialty Coffee Expo held in Chicago, United States from April 12 to 14.
During the fair, significant business opportunities totaling $33.8 million were created. Numerous international buyers from countries like the United States, Canada, Belgium, and Germany got to immerse themselves in the Peruvian coffee scene. They also joined in on a networking event hosted at Metric's retail coffee roaster.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Huanuco Government just dropped the news about the 2024 International Specialty Coffee Fair (FICAFE), happening in Tingo Maria from November 7 to 10. Also, Solidaridad, an NGO, revealed the "Coffee and Forests Agreement", a gathering aiming to unite people from the government, business, and the community to keep Peruvian coffee production and trade free from deforestation.

These beans are of such high quality that they score 84 or higher according to the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) standards. The top-producing areas for these exceptional coffees are La Convencion in Cusco, and Jaen and San Ignacio in Cajamarca.
