In challenging times, creativity takes on a new importance. That is why the most important platform for promoting Peruvian fashion and home accessories, Peru Moda and Peru Moda Deco, is reinventing itself so that it can continue to dazzle the world.

The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) is promoting the Peru Moda event as a great opportunity to connect Peruvian companies with international buyers.

This year and for the first time ever, Peru Moda will hold its 23rd edition in a virtual way. The event will be on computer screens around the world between October 1st and October 30th, 2020.

Fashion is changing

In this edition, under the motto Feel & Live Sustainable, Peru Moda will seek to take a step towards sustainability and demonstrate that it is not just an aspiration, but a necessity.

Today, looking good goes hand in hand with a commitment to the planet, just as the first Peruvians did 5,000 years ago, when they domesticated wild animals to extract fibers for their looms. They consumed what the earth offered them and lived in healthy communion with their environment.

This is the aim of the new edition of Peru Moda: to promote harmony between human beings and their environment. This means taking actions that promote environmental conservation and respect and care for the value chain.

This is what Peruvian textiles are all about today: transforming alpaca and cotton, 100% organic materials, into cutting-edge creations.

Virtual business conference

In this edition of Peru Moda & Peru Moda Deco, international buyers will be able to choose from a wide range of companies from the cotton, alpaca, baby and children's lines; hospital clothing; footwear and accessories; jewelry; decorative items and much more.

In addition, highly innovative products will be featured, as well as seminars on fashion industry topics and a virtual catwalk dedicated to cutting-edge design.

And clients can view everything from the comfort of their living room. International buyers will have a digital B2B Matchmaking platform at their disposal where business meetings will be held according to needs and commercial preferences.

This user-friendly online proposal will allow for an effective interaction between the buyer and the exporter.

Last year, Peru Moda managed to arrange 3,584 business appointments with 989 international buyers from 27 participating countries. Profits amounted to USD 132.5 million in generated business.

More domestic and foreign companies are expected to participate this year, as a result of the advantages offered by technology.

An unstoppable industry

The Peruvian textile sector has all the characteristics required by today's market: integration of the value chain, from the supply of raw materials to the final product; highly qualified personnel; luxury fibers; optimal delivery times, prices appropriate to the market and compliance with international standards.

These qualities have allowed Peru Moda to have a sustained global presence in recent years: Peru Moda in New York, Colombiamoda, Business Conference within the framework of the International Fair Trade Summit, Peru Moda in Asia and Peru Moda Latam Business Conference.

The products showcased by Peru Moda are also part of a tradition based on the originality and exclusivity of its designs.

If you want to participate in Peru Moda 2020, don’t forget to register on the official site of the event.

Join this new concept in fashion that is revolutionizing the world!
