In order to promote and boost the diversification of the tourism offer, the Exports and Tourism Promotion Board of Peru PROMPERU Office in France organized the workshop "Peru in Paris", with the participation of 20 tourism service providers .
Abercrombie & Kent, Air Europa, Amahuaca, Amazon, River Lodge Heliconia, Belmond, Face au Pérou, Hotels Hacienda del Perú, Iberia, Machu Picchu Train and Inkaterra arrived at the Parisian event. Jungel Experiences, Latam Airlines, Latin American Trips, Mundo America, Quimbaya Latin America, CulturAndes, Hotel Society of Peru SHP, Solmartour, South American Destination and Pacific Travel were also participating at this important event.
One hundred French companies were registered during the workshop, including tour operators, travel agencies and specialized press, held business meetings with the Peruvian exhibitors and were able to enjoy the different specialties offered as the Tiradito, Ají de Gallina, Meat specialty Seco, Quinoa Salad, Lucuma Mousse, among others.
The head of PROMPERU in France, Rosario Pajuelo, thanked the interest of the attendees in the Peruvian culture and highlighted the vigorous growth of the French demand for the Inca destination in the period between January and October 2019, that reported an evolution of 9%, thanks to the work between the Peruvian government and the private sector.
In addition, Pajuelo invited all the event assistants to participate in the next edition of Peru Travel Mart, which will take place from May 22 to 25, in the city of Lima.
The number of French companies registered in the event, held at the Le Colisée, in the Champs Elysees zone, reflects that Peru is increasingly interested in tourism professionals, eager to discover the destination's wonders.
In order to continue motivating tourism professionals, who attended the workshop "Peru in Paris" different donated prizes were raffled. Also, thanks to the Intipalka's support, attendees were able to taste our emblematic drink Pisco Sour and white, red and pink wines.
