Steady on! To promote Peru's image and establish it as a top MICE destination while fostering commercial partnerships, Peru participated in the IMEX Frankfurt 2024 Fair, a major event held in Germany from May 14 to 16.
During the three days of the fair, Peru presented itself as a potential destination for hosting meetings. It created business opportunities worth over PEN 2.8 million, with a total of 350 appointments scheduled.
Meanwhile, the World MICE Awards have acknowledged destinations like Lima, Cusco, Paracas (Ica), Arequipa, and Iquitos (Loreto). These awards honor excellence in the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions industry.

IMEX Frankfurt is Europe's largest event dedicated to the meetings and tourism industry. This fair brings together key international representatives from the sector and provides a platform to foster negotiations with global buyers.
Meeting tourism plays a significant role in Peru's economy.
By 2024, over 50 international events have been confirmed, generating an economic impact of more than USD 600 million. This includes the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), scheduled for next November.
