Peru, an attractive destination for business investment from Germany

Great news! Our country was presented as an important destination for German business investment during the Invest in Peru Seminar held at the Galerie Melbye-Konan, located in the city of Hamburg, on January 29.

This meeting was organized by the Commission for the Promotion of Peruvian Exports and Tourism (PROMPERU), through its Commercial Office in Hamburg and its Directorate of Business Investment Promotion (DI). During this event, the country had the opportunity to position itself as an attractive destination for Foreign Direct Investment, allowing it to expose the comparative advantages, potentialities of key economic sectors and investment opportunities that the country offers to potential investors.

At the sectoral level, the Renewable Energies, High Technology and Diverse Manufacturing sectors were promoted, and we sought to take advantage of the experience and focus of the German business sector on industries with a high knowledge, engineering and technology component. The Seminar Invest in Peru is part of the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) promotion strategy, where our country is a promising investment alternative.

In 2022, PROMPERU's promotional activities to attract Foreign Direct Investment focused mainly on the Latin American market, to contribute to the reactivation of the economy by encouraging the interest of potential investors in the region.

Likewise, in 2023 and this year, this range of activities is increasing towards markets in other geographic areas where companies that have had the experience of investing in Peru or are interested in expanding their internationalization in the form of new investment projects are located.
