At BAP Union, Casa Peru has been installed, which will exhibit the best of our country to visitors in each of the 20 ports of 15 visited countries.
To spread the Peruvian culture! Our Peru Brand, the hallmark of all Peruvians, will travel to five continents, for 309 days, aboard the BAP Union, which sets sail on June 17. For the first time, the largest sailing ship in Latin America will make this tour with Casa Peru inside, where you can find an endless number of national products and supplies.
“BAP Union, a training ship of the Peruvian Navy, will carry the emblematic Peru Brand on its sail, which, since its launch in 2011, represents our identity and pride, and has allowed us to disseminate the country's image in international spaces," said Ricardo Limo, executive president of the Commission for the Promotion of Peruvian Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ).
Regarding Casa Peru, the executive president of PROMPERÚ stated that “we will show the best of the country to the world. Each destination will bear witness to our great biodiversity, our rich history and geography, our gastronomy that includes Peru Superfoods, the quality of our Peruvian coffee and the unique alpaca fibers”.
It should be noted that the ship will visit 20 ports in 15 countries, with a stay of 2 to 4 days in each one. “For this reason, the Casa Peru exhibition and experience platform has been installed on the ship, a space that will allow the Peruvian offer of export products and services to be shown, as well as our tourist destinations. Casa Peru will provide a unique experience to visitors in each port,” added the senior official.
Additional information:
BAP Union will go through countries such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, China, Singapore, India, Egypt, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Morocco, Jamaica, the Netherlands and Panama.
It has been 169 years since the last Peruvian ship sailed the seas around the world, that is why this BAP Union trip marks a historic milestone for Peru.
